Indoor football arena in Saransk, the Republic of Mordovia The indoor football arena building on its functional purpose has the following characteristics: the level of responsibility of the building – II (Change № 1, Sec. 5 GOST 27751-88), the fire resistance degree – I, the class of functional fire danger – F 1.2 F 2.1, F 3.2, the class of constructive fire danger – SO (SNiP 21-01-97 *).
Indoor arena is the rectangular single storey volume 185x100 m that is connected to a three-storey block of administrative-household premises with a single roof.
The total building area is 31057.34 sq m.
 Indoor arena is destined for football and track and field athletics training, and also for football and track and field athletics competitions including the international level.The maximum carrying capacity of the arena is 100 persons / shift:
- football field, 48 persons / shift;
- track and field athletics, 52 persons / shift;
The number of fixed seats for spectators is up to 1,500. During the competitions additional tribunes are installed with the number of seats up to 3,000 including seats for 20 – 30 MGN spectators.
The sports kernel is provided:
- football field (game zone) is 105x68 m on restrictive lines; security zones with a standard circular track and field athletics track length of 400 m
The track and field athletics kernel is provided:
- 400 m standard track (turning radius is 36.5 m, straight sections are 84.39 m) with 8 circular running strips and 8 straight tracks (on the straight side of the circular path) to run 100 m and 110 m with hurdles, track width is 1.22 m;
- steeplechase water pit (inside the circle);
- a sector for long jump and triple jump with a place for landing on both sides of runway;
- two sectors for high jump;
- two sectors for pole vault, with a place for landing on both sides of runway;
- a sector for shot put;
- a training sector for throwing missiles in a grid.
